What an outstanding mom! -b
Me-oh-my I am in love with this Ikea Hack featured on Apartment Therapy. But would it…really work? -b
DIY Drawing on Sandwich Bags with Sharpies. On Flickr there is a photoset byDavid LaFerriere where he’s uploaded 1,107 photos of his sandwich bags that he drew for his children here. For a video and feature about him on Flickr go here. First seen at SwissMiss here.
COOL! -b
WHAT. Check out this lovely DIY from Design Sponge and put a little nature in your face! (which is probably indoors.) -b
Surprisingly useful Buzzfeed round-up of general life how-tos (with lots of pictures!). I really like the one on how to tie scarves, but as someone who generally squeezes avocados to try to ascertain perfect ripeness, and ends up confused, I especially appreciate this one! -b
PS special thanks to my cousin (another B) for sending this my way!
I seem to be forever doomed to inhabit homes with tiny kitchens. Daniel and I would both love to have some sort of lovely easy access system to our pots and pans, but it seems like a challenge to (safely) suspend all that weight from the ceiling. I’m also against just hanging our pans on the walls, because it seems like that method would damage the fresh paint. I love the brass shelf I found through ye olde Google image search! But how to make it all work, preferably at little expense? -b
What a gorgeous idea for a decorating DIY! This would look awesome in a giant map of California, or even our beloved Texas. I love big, pretty maps, but I’m never sure where to look for them. Feel free to clue me in if you’ve got a nice resource.
Another idea: a friend has a huge classroom map of the US in her apartment, and she paints a big dot on it for every city she visits. My map would be fairly dot-free (or at least Texas-centric), but it’s a neat idea for people who travel often (Em!). -b
Most adorable of all adorable Christmas trees? Perhaps. Definitely a nice alternative for those of us who live in cramped quarters. More baby tree ideas over at Design Sponge of course. -b
Great Halloween DIY from Oh Happy Day! The best? I think so. -b
